inglês What's everybody bitching about? This is a great and enjoyable action movie that has everything it should have, and although it is not a groundbreaking piece in its genre, it definitely gets plus points for its many new and original elements. A band of five soldiers encounter a major complication in a mission that was originally intended to be a simple extraction, and Liam Hemsworth is forced to flee through the jungle from an army of insurgents with the help of drone and satellite cameras interpreted into his ear by Russell Crowe. This is a very novel idea and I have to admit it won me over immediately. Both in itself, with the use of drone-guided missiles and the fine dialogue between the duo, as well as the cool action at the beginning and the ample pacing that gives us a full 2 hours of "something on screen”. All of this makes Land of Bad a meaty, original and above all fun action flick with fine actors and, most importantly, high budget visuals that can amaze at times with their quality. Satisfaction, I just love these flicks. ()

inglês Nice surprise. I wasn't expecting miracles from Land of Bad, but it's a solid military action flick with an A-budget and a fine cast that keeps a great pace and is pleasantly intense. We have five soldiers who are sent on a mission, only for things to go classically wrong and they will have to fight for their lives. Liam Hemsworth runs through the jungle from enemies and is helped by Russell Crowe on a wire, using drones to fire bombs at the enemies. The film has a great pace, the dialogue between Crowe and Hemsworth is fine, there's no shortage of tension, and there are some one-on-one fights and shootouts at the end. It's nothing groundbreaking, but it certainly doesn't put the genre to shame, and those who like this kind of military stuff won't go wrong. ()

inglês A war drama under produced by Petr Jákl. Yes, I admit it. I had some concerns, but it turned out to be an acceptable one-off. The younger Hemsworth managed the lead role quite well. And Russell Crowe also thoroughly enjoyed his role as a drone pilot. It won’t rank among the best war genre films, but the story is decent. The action, at times, is quite above average, whether it’s the old-school shootouts or 1v1 knife fights. It did lose some momentum in the middle, which needs to be noted. But the ending thankfully hit the gas again. Yeah, I managed to enjoy it. And I consider that the most important thing. We’ll see what Jákl will take on next. I give it a 6.5/10. ()
