A huge fan of genre films, Coralie Fargeat started as an assistant director on American feature films set in France such as Adam Brooks’ The Invisible Circus (2001) and Brian De Palma’s Femme Fatale (2002). She directed her first short film, Le Télégramme, in 2003 before studying screenwriting at La Fémis French film school. She won a 2013 Audi Talents Award for her VFX-driven science fiction short film project Reality+, completed in 2014 and awarded at many film festivals. Her feature debut Revenge was presented in competition at Gérardmer in 2018.
