The old legend of the man with the pipe has neither beginning nor end, and the story here plays out over just one day in the mysterious streets of Old Prague. The piper soon meets Agnes and Kristián as they drive around from church to church in their convertible looking for someone to marry them. Everyone refuses. The girl, hair adorned with a garland, carries new life within her. Gifted with the remarkable ability to purify humankind, the cloaked piper has yet to taste love. His meeting with Agnes is like an unexpected bolt of lightening for both of them. In vain does Kristián call out the name of his beloved; in vain does the Devil set them snares. inglês I didn't expect much, but this much dredging still comes as a shock. To create an amateur production with no story in just one day, with Daniel Landa's music constantly playing in the background, and proudly and grandiosely call it The Pied Piper – that takes courage. Either that or a sick mind. I feel sorry for the thousands of students forcefully driven into F.A. Brabec's film by the heavy advertising campaign. Required reading can be a bitch sometimes. ()
