The story follows disgraced children’s puppeteer Philip (Sean Harris), returning to his childhood home of Fallmarsh, Norfolk, intent on destroying Possum, a hideous puppet he keeps hidden inside a brown leather bag. O filme psicológico autoral do tipo No Céu Tudo É Perfeito, mais ancorada na realidade. O ambiente sombrio e as visões oníricas, às vezes cronologicamente dispersas. O trauma do herói principal e o monstro ao qual está psicologicamente ligado, sendo um personificação metafórica dos seus pesadelos noturnos. Um bizarro cinematográfico para os convidados, com a atuação fixe de Sean Harris e a voz de Alan Armstrong. Mas dizer que tudo isso se encaixa logicamente ou que desperta emoções, não é possível.

Horror-themed psychological drama about two characters and one horrifying-looking puppet that you won't easily forget. Possum in many ways strikingly resembles the film Spider by David Cronenberg - but it focuses more purely on the psychological aspect of things, whereas Possum is a much more disturbing affair that can really mess with your nerves if you properly immerse yourself in it. The story is quite surreal, but if you pay attention, you'll easily decipher it. Everything is moreover clearly pointed out at the end and no major questions are left unanswered - just don't expect the film to serve you the answers on a silver platter.
