Pagonių žiedas

A few years ago, I had no clue about Latvian cinema, and now they're hitting us with a war film. And quite an interesting one at that. Given my limited knowledge of Latvian medieval history, I was curious to see what the film would offer. In the end, it wasn't bad at all, though it seems like the local acting talent pool might be a bit shallow. The main roles of the toughest warriors are played by such scrawny guys that a strong wind might knock them off their horses. (11/07/2023)
