Eric (Jack O'Connell) is a violent young offender, prematurely thrown into the dark world of an adult prison. As he struggles to assert himself against the prison officers and the other inmates, he has to confront his own father, Nev (Ben Mendelsohn); a man who has spent most of his life in jail. As Eric forges allegiances with other prisoners, he learns that his rage can be overcome and discovers the new rules of survival. But there are forces at work which threaten to destroy him. português No final, a linha pai/filho vai a algum lado, mas tudo antes disso é apenas uma perseguição irritantemente grosseira dos personagens de prisão desinteressantes sem importância e as suas confrontações uns com os outros ou com a direção. Mesmo o personagem do psicólogo que quer ajudar júnior não acrescenta nada que valha a pena ao filme. O mais fraco da dúzia de dramas da prisão que recordará espontaneamente em qualquer momento. ()

inglês The drama is good, but there are no moments here where one could laugh. Towards the end, it builds up even though it's essentially an inevitable culmination, which is suggested by the previous course of the whole film. Some great scenes will actually give you chills, which is exactly what the film needs. Maybe if they’d made it even more intense, it would truly be the pinnacle. ()
