lol :-) is a sketch series that playfully skewers any historical period or setting — be it drama, comedy, romance, sci-fi, fantasy, or horror. Some of the sketches are brilliant, while others lean a bit more on the cringeworthy side. But if you're up late and looking for a quick 20-minute laugh, this show is a pretty solid pick to unwind with. (10/01/2022)

Just like with similar shows, sometimes, and actually quite often, there are gags and sketches that I consider to be crossing the boundaries of good taste. But the main problem I have is with the pace. While in the satirical show Gorodok they manage to have one scene, in this they cram in four performances at a very fast pace, and that tempo affects the quality. It feels rushed, and a lot of good jokes lose their charm because of it. If they slowed down, acted more, and even talked, then I would rate it much higher. Overall impression: 45%. (04/01/2013)
