inglês A charming miniature carrying all the typical features of Anton Chekhov's literary work - delicate irony unveiling relationships and behaviors of his characters, profound knowledge of environments due to his profession involving many families and all social classes, and finally, humanity - Chekhov understands his characters and knows he cannot change them. He strives to see the better side of them despite their flaws. This story lacks a sufficiently strong point, but the cast was crucial. The four excellent actors, perfectly cast, did a good job, resulting in a classic comedy piece that can keep returning to our television screens. Overall impression: 80%. ()

inglês "And we can shout and we can sing. Mášenka's awake. But she's sleepy. Jeez, she really is sleepy. You know women, don't you? “Sleepy women? Especially them." An excellently acted Chekhov story with the excellent Jan Werich and equally good Jiřina Šejbalová. Of course, Mr. Sovák and Mr. Brodský did not disappoint. Especially their final ode to the happy and idyllic coexistence of the Rebrotes was a success. So: To happy marriages! ()
