No Good Deed

But yeah, it's just a generic, harmless thriller that entertains, is suspenseful, but isn’t surprising, even though the final twist is quite nice. So in the end it's nothing new. Luckily, I enjoy these movies and Idris Elba is a solid bad guy, so the movie is nice to watch thanks to the great technical aspect, but what's disappointing is the lack of gore, otherwise I would have rated it higher. 60% (16/12/2014)

At times, it's quite good, and it really manages to create tension, but at the same time, it feels too simple, aiming to please without pushing beyond the boundaries of what could still be called mainstream, suitable for a wider audience. No nudity, no truly explicit violence, just an effort to create horror through how Idris Elba looks, his expressions, and how he stands. It would suit the movie more if it wasn't so sterile.
