inglês I've always wanted a mouse fur coat and for the princess to come out of the TV and into my living room. I hope to have again that feeling of sitting in front of a fairy tale and thinking about nothing but her. ()

inglês The verse script is cute, Marie Kyselková and Josef Zíma are a nice couple, Martin Růžek used to give me a real fright and Stanislav Neumann's cook amuses me more and more... Unfortunately, The Princess with the Golden Star is also full of unbelievably annoying dance numbers (apparently a remnant of the theatrical version), which only delay the simple story. ()

inglês It's a classic tale that's even more naive than most, but the magic of rhyming dialogue with songs that stick in your mind just works. Visually, it's evident in the film that the colors are highly stylized, which could be more due to Technicolor hues rather than necessarily the filmmakers' intention. Princess Lada looks slightly better in the fur hood than without it, as the color of her hair somewhat negatively complements her face. It's still one of the prettier fairy tales that can be shown on TV during Christmas. ()
