A solid film that captures the essence of classic British cinema. I’ll admit, I was drawn to this one mostly because of its origin, but I was also curious to see what Stephen Graham and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje would bring to the table—and they didn’t disappoint. It’s a typical drama about life and its struggles, but with its own unique style. Adewale plays a character with a disability, and while some moments teeter on the edge of being a bit comedic, Stephen Graham keeps it grounded with that distinct British flair. It’s not a masterpiece, but as far as dramas go, it’s a pretty solid watch.
