inglês A film that stays in my head for hours after watching it. I remember the beautiful words and the amazing performance by Khan. I too see some connections to Forrest Gump here. The length definitely didn't bother me because from the beginning on there was always something to watch. I was emotionally affected by many situations throughout the film. The ending, on the other hand, was a little disappointing. 5 stars. ()

inglês I have to admit that I watched the movie in two parts because I had to turn it off when things started to heat up after 9/11 and the mob hatred started brewing – I truly loathe that stuff from the depths of my soul. But then I resolved to finish watching it, and I admit it did affect me a bit emotionally. I'd seen the longer version, so it was a little too long for my taste, and lots of parts didn't really entertain me. However, Shah Rukh Khan deserves kudos, he played a man with Asperger’s Syndrome very convincingly. ()

inglês My Name is Khan is an absolutely enchanting experience. The magic of all the previous films with Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan alongside him pales with envy in every way. My Name is Khan is disarming because it can move and make you laugh at the same time. I took more away from Rizvan and Mandira's first meeting than I did from all those "officially" recognized Casablancas and other untouchables. There is no greater privilege than not being able to tear your eyes away and enjoy every minute spent with a film. I would go to the ends of the earth for Kajol’s smile... And all of this is only the first third, followed by a post-9/11 trip to see the President of the United States to be handed a mission: "My name is Khan and I am not a terrorist." ()

inglês "My name is Khan, and I am not a terrorist!" My first major encounter with Indian cinema turned out to be more than great. My Name is Khan combines elements of many genres and overall they are woven into an incredible whole of gigantic proportions. The film deals with the rather thorny issue of people's opinion of Muslims in society - it highlights a rather important idea, namely that being a Muslim does not mean being a terrorist. Unfortunately, not everyone can understand this. And I have to admit that Dustin Hoffman has some pretty serious competition in India in the form of Shahrukh Khan. The first third of the film was light and mostly romantic. It was funny, enjoyable, but also enlightening. The second third impressed me to the max, and in every possible way (I won't say anything more, everyone has to see for themselves). I had mixed feelings about the final third. It was impressive, but at times a bit far-fetched (but what the heck,. what movie today doesn't lack a fly in the ointment). I have to praise (quite highly) the incredible cinematography, which made many scenes even more impressive. And the music? That was an absolute treat for my ears, and it didn't even matter that I couldn't understand it. In short it's not a completely perfect film down to the last detail, but I won’t slag it. There are two kinds of people. And there are two kinds of movies. Good and bad! And My Name is Khan is a good one no doubt!!! ()
