Doug (James Gandolfini) e Lois (Melissa Leo) tem o casamento abalado por uma tragédia familiar. O tempo e o silêncio só os distanciam mais até o dia em que Doug participa de uma convenção na agitada New Orleans e conhece Mallory (Kristen Stewart). Ela é uma jovem dançarina em um strip club, de pavio muito curto e língua afiada. Welcome to the Rileys is exactly the kind of film I knew I wouldn’t enjoy from the start. Twenty minutes in, and I’m already feeling disconnected from the characters, struggling to stay awake. It’s one of those movies where I barely remember what I watched by the time it’s over. The only real plus is the cast, but their roles are so unremarkable that it feels like a waste to have them in the film at all.
