A pretty entertaining film, which, while technically a western, is more like a little under-an-hour plaything about who ends up with whom. John Wayne is like an overseer and whisperer here, ensuring that everything ends up as the heart desires. He's the main character, but he has a slightly different role than we're used to. It suits him.
