The cowboy from the rodeo (John Wayne) and his gambler friend find themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time in a town where they are accused of shooting the cashier. But that's not all. The sheriff in Poker City won't let them breathe a sigh of relief. It's a weaker piece, fairly average within John Wayne's work, but I just can't help it - even his average works are still above average. The shootouts are quite dry, not even the glass shatters, but for its time, it's actually a classic, non-violent approach.
