It's quite political at times, but considering it was created at a time when the revolution was still quite lively and all those ideas hadn't been degenerated by Stalin, it holds weight. And I must say, some scenes really gave me chills, not because I was scared of their ideological message, but because they resonated quite powerfully. What's undoubtedly the best aspect of the film is its visuals, especially the costumes; they're beautiful and could actually work in modern sci-fi.
