Every now and then, Netflix surprises me with a film that gets mediocre reviews but totally captivates me. It doesn’t happen often, but when it does, the excitement is real. The Beautiful Game was one of those hidden gems. I had no idea there was a Homeless World Cup, but the filmmakers tied it to various touching stories in such a heartfelt way that it was a joy to watch from start to finish. Plus, Bill Nighy as the coach was simply fantastic. ()
