Um pequeno drama íntimo, emocional sobre duas almas feridas que encontram amor uma com a outra. A caracterização da talentosa Jessica Chastain é sempre fascinante, mas aqui é em dobro. Uma atuação que me deu arrepios. O desempenho de Peter Sarsgaard também é excelente, a química entre eles pode ser sentida em cada toque. O filme poderia ter continuado por mais tempo, desenvolvendo mais os personagens dos pais e explorando a relação com a infância, criando um drama psicológico ainda mais intenso e complexo. (KVIFF 2024) (Spoiler alert!) Memory is a remarkable archive of memories, knowledge, feelings and other ingredients. While Sylvia would prefer to forget some things from the past, Saul would certainly be glad for some memories. I thought the major plot twist would occur at the level of the Sylvie-Paul relationship, and I appreciate that it didn't. Michel Franco's Memory is an intimate, poignant drama about two wounded souls seeking to heal each other. And this time, I didn't even mind that the film's conclusion was rather abrubt at least I had something to think about.
