Tulsa King - Série 1

The premise is one we’ve seen countless times: an ex-mafioso returns from prison with nothing, gets sent to the middle of nowhere, and starts from scratch. But I love these kinds of stories because they offer a great opportunity to build something from the ground up. And the creators nailed it here. After Rocky and Rambo, Sly delivers one of his best performances as a classic tough guy, an old-school mobster who’s quick with his fists but has a strong sense of justice and satisfaction when he talks his way into some cash. The Tulsa setting in the heart of America is fresh and intriguing. The supporting characters are compelling, and the main antagonist is someone you wouldn't want to mess with. After the first season, I’m pumped and eager to see where it goes next. From experience, I know similar stories can decline in quality, so I’m hoping this one bucks the trend. (22/06/2023)

The first season unpleasantly surprised me with its sluggish pace at first, but then I realized it had a certain charm and truly felt like Oklahoma. In fact, Oklahoma strongly reminded me of Montana from Far Cry 5, so I quite enjoyed all the local Second Amendment enthusiasts. Dwight "Cinque Stelle" "General" Manfredi really entertained me. Sylvester Stallone seemed to be enjoying his role. Even though this simple story was not without its flaws, I decided to ignore them because, apart from the second episode, I found it very enjoyable (and unexpectedly so), so instead of searching for flaws, I'm patiently waiting for the next season. / Lesson learned: When diplomacy fails in the States, guess what happens?
