O Milagre

O filme inteiro é apenas sobre a razão pela qual a criança, que morre de fome, não quer comer. E não existe um ressalto misterioso. Um tema pouco excitante, bastante banal, mas que faz sentido dramaturgicamente no final. Mesmo que seja leve em relação ao espetador. Pois, é baseado num romance que os cineastas não queriam atualizar para o cinema. Florence Pugh é tradicionalmente boa, mas ela tem mais para representar noutros lugares. (19/01/2023)

The bleak setting of an isolated Irish house amidst the moors creates a fantastic atmosphere for this film. This kind of setting is exactly what I love in stories. Add Florence Pugh, who I've been seeing a lot of lately — and I'm not complaining. The plot is very quiet, the pacing quite artful, and by the time you fully grasp what's happening, the film is nearly over. Interestingly, I found the ending to be the best part, especially compared to the rather slow-moving film overall. (20/11/2022)
